Cleaning With Kids

Practical advice for involving your child in the care of your home

This is definitely off-topic… but it’s something I have been wanting to share about for many years.

I hesitated because it was off-topic, but I think I have some really helpful ideas to share with those who are interested.

If you have been wanting to involve your child in the care of your home but have struggled with how to get started, I would love to share my approach with you.

When I started learning about Waldorf education and the concept of being “worthy of imitation” I noticed that the way that I was caring for our home did not feel worthy of imitation.

I wanted my kids to learn to be better about house care than I was.

So I sat down and made a plan and it has been very impactful for my life and for our home.

I am a self-proclaimed messy, inconsistent, not-good-at-cleaning person.

I am very good at being tolerant about messes kids make, clutter, toys everywhere. I have low standards of cleanliness compared to some.

Maybe you identify with that.

Or maybe you are very good about keeping your house clean and tidy but it doesn’t feel right to be the only one doing it, and you want to start involving your kids.

I have come up with a very, very doable approach.

I will be sharing what I did when my kids were very young up to 6 years old, AND what I do now that my kids are 8 and 11.

They are two very different, age-appropriate plans that empower kids to be active participants in the home and teach them life-long skills.

In this pre-recorded workshop, you will learn practical advice for involving your child in caring for your home.

If this is a topic that has been on your mind, this workshop will be helpful in getting your wheels turning.

Even if you decide you don’t want to follow my advice, it has the potential to help you think of what you *do* want to do.

Maybe you will come away leaving inspired with your own new ideas for how you want to involve your child in the care of your home.

I’m really eager to share this approach with you, if this is something you have been wanting to do with your kids!
