Let’s make some mittens together!
I was feeling inspired to make a pair of these mittens for myself and I thought.. "the more the merrier!" Why not do a little casual knit-along? A little bonus perk for Toymaking Magic members!
If you’re in the mood to knit something cozy and learn some new skills, come join us!
I’ll be sharing helpful YouTube videos along the way to guide you as you work through the pattern.
I’ll be available to answer your questions anytime you get stuck.
Knit-alongs are a fun group experience - we are all working on the same pattern together and sharing pics of our progress.
There is no time limit to complete. You will have access to the private group and the helpful videos for as long as you are a Toymaking Magic member.
Have a look at the pattern to see if it inspires you to make a pair! Don't worry if you don't understand the instructions. That's what I'm here for! I will be explaining everything.
Toymaking Magic has its very own private social network, did you know?? YES! That is where we will be communicating with each other.
If you have any questions, you can post them in the group. And it's always fun when everyone shares progress pics and completed projects!
Here's what you will need to make some cozy mittens!
- 1 ball of Purl Soho’s Knitting Yarn, 100% merino wool.*
- A set of US 5 (3.75 mm) double pointed needles**
- Stitch markers, including one unique
- Stitch holder or scrap yarn
*Or any light worsted (DK)-weight yarn
**Or circular needles using the Magic Loop technique, which is what I will be doing. To do the Magic Loop technique you need long circular needles, such as 24 inches long or 32 inches long in size US 5 (3.75 mm).
Wondering if this is for you?
If you have at least some knitting experience, I believe that you will be able to make these mittens.
If you have never knit before, I would not recommend this as a first project.
This project is best suited for someone who has made at least a couple simple knitting projects.
