Description
Practical advice for involving your child in the care of your home.
This is definitely off-topic but it’s something I have been wanting to share about for many years.
I hesitated because it was off-topic, but I think I have some really helpful ideas to share with those who are interested.
If you have been wanting to involve your child in the care of your home but have struggled with how to get started, this is for you.
I am a self-proclaimed messy, inconsistent, not-good-at-cleaning person.
I am very good at being tolerant about messes kids make, clutter, toys everywhere. I have low standards of cleanliness compared to some.
Maybe you identify with that.
Or maybe you are very good about keeping your house clean and tidy but it doesn’t feel right to be the only one doing it, and you want to start involving your kids.
I have come up with a very, very doable approach.
I will be sharing what I did when my kids were very young up to 6 years old, AND what I do now that my kids are 8 and 11.
They are two very different, age-appropriate plans that empower kids to be active participants in the home and teach them life-long skills.
